TLDR
In this paper, organic vapours such as ethyl methyl ketone, methyl acetate, methyl alcohol, diethyl ether, acetone and acetaldehyde were adsorbed on the chromatographic silica gel between 273 K and 297 K under a vacuum of 10 -4 to 10 -5 Torr.
Abstract
Organic vapours such as ethyl methyl ketone, methyl acetate, methyl alcohol, diethyl ether, acetone and acetaldehyde were adsorbed on to the chromatographic silica gel between 273 K and 297 K under a vacuum of 10 -4 to 10 -5 Torr. A Cahn 1000 electrobalance and an X-Y Beckamn chart recorder were used for recording the data. Kinetic parameters such as rate constant, Knudsen diffusivities, bulk diffusivities and effective diffusivities have been calculated employing the Fick-type equation. The effect of temperature on the sorption of these organic vapours has also been discussed

Intercrystalline molecular transport in zeolites studied by uptake experiments and by nuclear magnetic resonance pulsed field gradient techniques

TL;DR: In this article, a comparison of n.m. self-diffusion and uptake measurements was performed with the systems cyclohexane (n-hexane)+NaX-zeolite, and it was shown that the variation of pressure of compaction, sorbate concentration and temperature led to the same changes in the effective coefficients of intercystalline transport.
