TLDR
In this article, an experimental investigation of the problem of mutual and self-impedance of coupled cylindrical aerials is described, and it is shown that mutual-impingance values, calculated on the assumption that the aerial current distribution is sinusoidal, can be used with some success if appropriate values of self-IMpedance are used.Abstract:
The paper describes an experimental investigation of the problem of mutual and self-impedances of coupled cylindrical aerials. It is shown that mutual-impedance values, calculated on the assumption that the aerial current distribution is sinusoidal, can be used with some success if appropriate values of self-impedance are used. An approximate method for finding these impedances is suggested.read more

New method of antennas array synthesis applied to generation of double-step patterns
TL;DR: A method of synthesizing linear antenna arrays utilizes the natural phase distribution that exists on transmission lines to design an asymmetric pattern that is sufficiently general to permit synthesis of any arbitrary pattern with arbitrary phase.

Receiving aerials for British television
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of the proximity of feeder and earth and the difficulties in obtaining reliable measurements make it impossible to check any of these theories to an accuracy sufficient to prove which is most correct.

Mutual and Self‐Impedance for Coupled Antennas
TL;DR: In this paper, a general theory for the current in coupled antennas is formulated in terms of the vector potential and applied to determine the self-impedance Zs1 and the mutual impedance Z12 of a center-driven antenna in the presence of a second parallel, identical antenna which may be centerdriven or center-loaded in an arbitrary way.

Mutual Impedance between Vertical Antennas of Unequal Heights
TL;DR: In this paper, an expression for the resistive and reactive components of the mutual impedance between vertical antennas of unequal heights, located above a perfectly conducting ground, is derived for spacings between 0.1 and 1.0 wavelength.
Coupled Antennas
TL;DR: In this article, the integral equation governing the current distribution on two coupled antennas has been solved, and the general solution pertaining to the antenna problem reduces to the conventional one obtained from transmission-line theory, when the two antisymmetrically driven antennas are closely coupled to each other.

The Impedance of Short, Long, and Capacitively Loaded Antennas with a Critical Discussion of the Antenna Problem
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple formula for the impedance of short antennas is obtained; the reactance is shown to agree with that computed from the static capacitance between the two halves of the antenna.

The measurement of balanced and unbalanced impedances at frequencies near 500 Mc/s, and its application to the determination of the propagation constants of cables
TL;DR: In this article, an air-spaced concentric line for unbalanced impedances and a screened twin line for balanced impedances were used for the measurement of radio-frequency cables at frequencies above 400 Mc/s.
