Stochastic Technical Stability Test of a Passenger Railroad Car Crossing a Turnout

TL;DR: A definition of stochastic technical stability is presented that was applied to test a mathematical model of a passenger railroad car crossing a turnout with the speed exceeding 160 km/h and can be used to assess the dynamics of electric vehicles, whose mechanical parameters differ from those of combustion vehicles at present.

Nonlinear dynamic responses of high-speed railway vehicles under combined self-excitation and forced excitation considering the influence of unsteady aerodynamic loads

TL;DR: In this article, a dynamic analysis model of a railway vehicle considering the influences of aerodynamic loads was established, and the results showed that when the critical speed is exceeded, the vehicle system usually performs quasi-periodic motion under unsteady aerodynamic loading, which is significantly different from the periodic motion under steady aerodynamic load.
