Catalytic Enantioselective meso-Epoxide Ring Opening Reaction with Phenolic Oxygen Nucleophile Promoted by Gallium Heterobimetallic Multifunctional Complexes
Shigeki Matsunaga,Jagattaran Das,Jochen Roels,Erasmus M. Vogl,Noriyoshi Yamamoto,Takehiko Iida,and Kentaro Yamaguchi,Masakatsu Shibasaki +7 more
TL;DR: The catalytic enanti-lective meso-epoxide ring opening reaction with phenolic oxygen nucleophile (4-methoxyphenol) is described for the first time in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
Titanium-catalyzed enantioselective alkynylation of aldehydes.
TL;DR: A simple and practical method to make chiral propargylic alcohols with very good enantioselectivities and yields was developed in the presence of a titanium alkoxide catalyst prepared in situ from titanium tetraisopropoxide and (R)-H8-binaphthol.

Enantioselective Addition of Organometallic Reagents to Carbonyl Compounds: Chirality Transfer, Multiplication, and Amplification†
Ryoji Noyori,Masato Kitamura +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an enantioselective alkylation of aldehydes using diastereomeric (homochiral and heterochiral) dinuclear complexes formed from the dialkylzinc and the DAIB auxiliary is described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Catalytic asymmetric induction. Highly enantioselective addition of dialkylzincs to aldehydes using chiral pyrrolidinylmethanols and their metal salts

Enantioselective addition of diorganozincs to aldehydes catalyzed by β-amino alcohols
Ryoji Noyori,Seiji Suga,K. Kawai,S. Okada,Masato Kitamura,N. Oguni,Masahiko Hayashi,T. Kaneko,Y. Matsuda +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the nucleophilic addition of dialkylzincs to aldehydes in hydrocarbon solvents is markedly accelerated by the presence of a catalytic amount of a β-dialkylamino alcohol.
