The lipases from porcine pancreas and Curzdidu cylindruceu have been used for selective deacylations of perpropanoates and peracetates of different classes of polyphenolics and an attempt has been made to synthesise acylated erythrooxetanose using the same methodology.Abstract:
The lipases from porcine pancreas (PPL) and Curzdidu cylindruceu (CCL), solubilized in AOT (sodium bis-(2-ethylhexyl) sulphosuccinate) water-in-oil (w/o) microemulsions and supported on gelatin have been used for selective deacylations of perpropanoates and peracetates of different classes of polyphenolics. In addition, lipase from Curzdidu arzturticu (Novozym 435) has been used for regioselective propanoylation of 2-deoxy- D-ribose and D-ribose, the products on subsequent acetylation with acetic anhydride/pyridine afforded the corresponding tri- and tetraacyl derivatives, universal synthones for the synthesis of 2'-deoxyribonucleosides and ribo- nucleosides, respectively. An attempt has also been made to synthesise acylated erythrooxetanose using the same methodology.read more

TL;DR: The activities of phenyl acrylate and phenyl vinyl ketone were excellent as compared to aliphatic acrylates, indicating that the stereoelectronic effect of the phenyl group was important to the antimicrobial activity.

Design of low-toxic and temperature-sensitive anionic microemulsions using short propyleneglycol alkyl ethers as cosurfactants.
TL;DR: From the pseudoternary phase diagrams, it is inferred that C(n)()PO(m)() compounds have cosurfactant behaviors comparable to those of 1-butanol and 1-pentanol, which are the most efficient and widely usedcosurfactants.
