On axisymmetric thermal stresses im an anisotropic hollow cylinder

TLDR
In this article, the problem of thermal stresses in a hollow anisotropic cylinder of finite extent arising from axisymmetric temperature variations at the plane ends, the inner and outer curved surfaces being in contact with rigid and smooth insulators was dealt with.
Abstract
This paper deals with the problem of thermal stresses in a hollow anisotropic cylinder of finite extent arising from axisymmetric temperature variations at the plane ends, the inner and outer curved surfaces being in contact with rigid and smooth insulators. An exact solution is developed using potential functions of displacement. Numerical results are given for cylinders made of magnesium (anisotropic) and copper (isotropic).

Axisymmetric mechanical and thermal stresses in thick short length fgm cylinders

TL;DR: In this paper, the exact solution of steady-state two-dimensional axisymmetric mechanical and thermal stresses for a short hollow cylinder made of functionally graded material is developed, and the temperature, as functions of radial and longitudinal directions, is solved analytically, using the generalized Bessel function.

Three-dimensional analysis for thermoelastic response of functionally graded fiber reinforced cylindrical panel

TL;DR: In this article, a three-dimensional steady-state response of a functionally graded fiber reinforced cylindrical panel is studied and compared with a traditional discretely laminated composite shell.

Axisymmetric Mechanical and Thermal Stresses in Thick Long FGM Cylinders

TL;DR: In this paper, the analysis of axisymmetric mechanical and thermal stresses for a long hollow cylinder made of functionally graded material, as functions of radial and longitudinal directions, is developed.

The influence of interphase regions on local thermal displacements in composites

TL;DR: In this article, a three-phase composite cylinder model is adopted to predict the thermal displacements of a single carbon fiber specimen in an epoxy matrix, and the experimental profiles measured by the interferometer indicate that the value of the matrix properties near the fiber surface differs from the value in the bulk resin.

Three-dimensional analysis of thermal stresses in four-parameter continuous grading fiber reinforced cylindrical panels

TL;DR: In this paper, a generalization of the power-law distribution for continuous grading fiber reinforced cylindrical panels has been proposed, which can be solved by generalized differential quadrature method.

Three-dimensional stress distributions in hexagonal aeolotropic crystals

TL;DR: In this article, conditions for equilibrium in an elastically stressed hexagonal aeolotropic medium (transversely isotropic) are formulated, and solutions are found in terms of two "harmonic" functions o1, o2, which are solutions ofν1, ν2 being the roots of a certain quadratic equation.
