Abstract
We apply equivariant integration technique, developed in the context of instanton counting, to two dimensional = 2 supersymmetric Yang-Mills models. The expression for the twisted superpotential for U(N) model is conjectured. Connections to the four dimensional case are discussed.

Vortex Counting and Lagrangian 3-manifolds

TL;DR: In this paper, the relation between vortex counting in two-dimensional supersymmetric field theories and the refined BPS invariants of the dual geometries was studied, which can also be mapped to the computation of degenerate conformal blocks in 2-dimensional CFTs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Exact results in D = 2 supersymmetric gauge theories

TL;DR: In this article, the partition function of two-dimensional Liouville/Toda CFT was shown to admit two dual descriptions: either as an integral over the Coulomb branch or as a sum over vortex and anti-vortex excitations on the Higgs branches of the theory.

Partition functions of N = (2,2) gauge theories on S 2 and vortices

TL;DR: In this article, the authors apply localization techniques to compute the partition function of a two-dimensional R-symmetric theory of vector and chiral multiplets on S2, where the path integral reduces to a sum over topological sectors of a matrix integral over the Cartan subalgebra of the gauge group.

Holomorphic blocks in three dimensions

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors decompose sphere partition functions and indices of three-dimensional = 2 gauge theories into a sum of products involving a universal set of holomorphic blocks, which are in one-to-one correspondence with the theory's massive vacua.

Exact Results in D=2 Supersymmetric Gauge Theories

TL;DR: In this paper, the partition function of two dimensional N=(2,2) gauge theories on S^2 was shown to admit two dual descriptions: either as an integral over the Coulomb branch or as a sum over vortex and anti-vortex excitations on the Higgs branches of the theory.

Electric - magnetic duality, monopole condensation, and confinement in N=2 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the vacuum structure and spectrum of N = 2 supersymmetric gauge theory in four dimensions, with gauge group SU(2), and obtained exact formulas for electron and dyon masses and the metric on the moduli space of vacua.
Journal ArticleDOI

Topological quantum field theory

TL;DR: A twisted version of four dimensional supersymmetric gauge theory is formulated in this paper, which refines a nonrelativistic treatment by Atiyah and appears to underlie many recent developments in topology of low dimensional manifolds; the Donaldson polynomial invariants of four manifolds and the Floer groups of three manifolds appear naturally.
Journal ArticleDOI

Monopoles, duality and chiral symmetry breaking in N=2 supersymmetric QCD

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied four dimensional N = 2 supersymmetric gauge theories with matter multiplets and derived the exact metric on the moduli space of quantum vacua and the exact spectrum of the stable massive states.

Monopole Condensation, And Confinement In N=2 Supersymmetric Yang-Mills Theory

TL;DR: In this paper, the vacuum structure and dyon spectrum of N = 2 supersymmetric gauge theory in four dimensions, with gauge group SU(2), were studied. And the theory turns out to have remarkably rich and physical properties which can nonetheless be described precisely; exact formulas can be obtained, for instance, for electron and Dyon masses and the metric on the moduli space of vacua.

Phases of N = 2 theories in two dimensions

TL;DR: In this paper, a natural relation between sigma models based on Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces in weighted projective spaces and Landau-Ginzburg models is found.
