Abstract
Oophoropexy—placing both ovaries with their attached pedicles in the midline of the pelvis and marking their positions with metallic clips—was performed in 22 patients undergoing pelvic irradiation for Hodgkin's disease. Ovarian function was preserved in 12; 1 has conceived. The midline position of the ovaries allows them to be shielded with lead blocks during irradiation without interfering with treatment to the external iliac, obturator, or hypogastric nodes.

The value of laparotomy and splenectomy in the staging of Hodgkin's disease.

TL;DR: It is concluded that laparotomy with splenectomy is a valuable procedure for the more precise delineation of intra‐abdominal sites of involvement in Hodgkin's disease prior to the initiation of extended field megavoltage radiation therapy with curative intent.

Castration1 of the Female by Irradiation

TL;DR: A study of patients with benign pelvic lesions was begun with the following objectives: determination of the efficiency of castration by radiation methods, establishment of the required ovarian dose for permanent castration, and development of a treatment technic to deliver a known and constable treatment.

Exteriorization of ovaries under the skin of young women operated upon for cancer of the cervix.

TL;DR: Outsideization of the ovaries under the skin has been carried out with retention of the circulation through the ovarian vessels and in one case corpus luteum was found in an ovary removed 5 years after exteriorization.
