Optimization of energy required and greenhouse gas emissions analysis for orange producers using data envelopment analysis approach

TLDR
In this paper, the authors used data envelopment analysis for measuring the efficiency of orchardists, discriminate efficient and inefficient produce from inefficient ones and identify wasteful uses of energy using data envelope analysis for orange production in Guilan province of Iran.

Modeling and Optimization of Energy Inputs and Greenhouse Gas Emissions for Eggplant Production Using Artificial Neural Network and Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the modeling and optimization of energy use and greenhouse gas emissions of eggplant production using artificial neural network and multi-objective genetic algorithm in Guilan province of Iran.

Applying DEA optimization approach for energy auditing in wheat cultivation under rice-wheat and cotton-wheat cropping systems in north-western India

TL;DR: In this article, the energy input-output relationship for wheat cultivation was estimated from data collected from 80 wheat producers (40 each in rice-wheat and cottonwheat cropping system) by face-to-face survey.

Carbon footprint of China's livestock system – a case study of farm survey in Sichuan province, China

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper quantified and quantified the carbon footprint (CF) of livestock production to offer insights into how livestock production contributes to climate change and help to establish potential greenhouse gas mitigation options.

Applying data envelopment analysis to evaluation of energy efficiency and decreasing of greenhouse gas emissions of fattening farms

TL;DR: In this paper, data envelopment analysis was employed for determining the energy efficiency of fattening farms in order to separate efficient and inefficient ranchers and to calculate the wasteful uses of energy.

Measuring technical efficiency of potato production in Iran using robust data envelopment analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, a nonparametric method of data envelopment analysis (DEA) was applied to analyze the technical and scale efficiency of potato production in 23 Iranian provinces, and the proposed DEA for 23 Iranian potato-producing provinces reveals that the average technical efficiency is 90% and the scale efficiency is 97%.

Coefficient alpha and the internal structure of tests.

TL;DR: In this paper, a general formula (α) of which a special case is the Kuder-Richardson coefficient of equivalence is shown to be the mean of all split-half coefficients resulting from different splittings of a test, therefore an estimate of the correlation between two random samples of items from a universe of items like those in the test.

Measuring the efficiency of decision making units

TL;DR: A nonlinear (nonconvex) programming model provides a new definition of efficiency for use in evaluating activities of not-for-profit entities participating in public programs and methods for objectively determining weights by reference to the observational data for the multiple outputs and multiple inputs that characterize such programs.

Some Models for Estimating Technical and Scale Inefficiencies in Data Envelopment Analysis

TL;DR: The CCR ratio form introduced by Charnes, Cooper and Rhodes, as part of their Data Envelopment Analysis approach, comprehends both technical and scale inefficiencies via the optimal value of the ratio form, as obtained directly from the data without requiring a priori specification of weights and/or explicit delineation of assumed functional forms of relations between inputs and outputs as mentioned in this paper.

Data Envelopment Analysis: A Comprehensive Text with Models, Applications, References and DEA-Solver Software

TL;DR: In this article, the basic CCR model and DEA models with restricted multipliers are discussed. But they do not consider the effect of non-discretionary and categorical variables.

Carbon emission from farm operations

TL;DR: The available information on energy use in farm operations, and its conversion into carbon equivalent (CE) is a synthesis of the available information and shows that an output/input ratio, expressed either as gross or net output of C, must be >1 and has an increasing trend over time.
