Optimization of energy required and greenhouse gas emissions analysis for orange producers using data envelopment analysis approach
TLDR
In this paper, the authors used data envelopment analysis for measuring the efficiency of orchardists, discriminate efficient and inefficient produce from inefficient ones and identify wasteful uses of energy using data envelope analysis for orange production in Guilan province of Iran.About:

Energy optimization in wheat establishment following rice residue management with Happy Seeder technology for reduced carbon footprints in north-western India
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used data collected from 53 farmers during a face-to-face interview to audit the energy input-output and CFs to optimize energy use and C equivalent emissions in wheat following rice residue management (RRM) with Happy Seeder.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multiyear life energy and life cycle assessment of orange production in Iran
TL;DR: This study aims at assessing the energy indicators and environmental impacts during the initial 7-year growth of orange orchards through the life cycle assessment (LCA) technique, and showed that the energy indices were increasing from year first to seventh and also the share of renewable energy increased.
Modeling and optimization of energy consumption for grapefruit production in Iran
TL;DR: In this article, a nonparametric method of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) has been used to estimate the energy efficiency of grapefruit production orchards in Sari region of Iran.

Sustainable and long-term management of municipal solid waste: A review
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated landfill and incineration waste management strategies as potential and prevalent traditional methods of disposing of municipality-generated waste because of their cheapness and simplicity but requires a high level of management to mitigate their negative impacts.

Coefficient alpha and the internal structure of tests.
TL;DR: In this paper, a general formula (α) of which a special case is the Kuder-Richardson coefficient of equivalence is shown to be the mean of all split-half coefficients resulting from different splittings of a test, therefore an estimate of the correlation between two random samples of items from a universe of items like those in the test.

Measuring the efficiency of decision making units
TL;DR: A nonlinear (nonconvex) programming model provides a new definition of efficiency for use in evaluating activities of not-for-profit entities participating in public programs and methods for objectively determining weights by reference to the observational data for the multiple outputs and multiple inputs that characterize such programs.

Some Models for Estimating Technical and Scale Inefficiencies in Data Envelopment Analysis
TL;DR: The CCR ratio form introduced by Charnes, Cooper and Rhodes, as part of their Data Envelopment Analysis approach, comprehends both technical and scale inefficiencies via the optimal value of the ratio form, as obtained directly from the data without requiring a priori specification of weights and/or explicit delineation of assumed functional forms of relations between inputs and outputs as mentioned in this paper.

Data Envelopment Analysis: A Comprehensive Text with Models, Applications, References and DEA-Solver Software
TL;DR: In this article, the basic CCR model and DEA models with restricted multipliers are discussed. But they do not consider the effect of non-discretionary and categorical variables.

Carbon emission from farm operations
TL;DR: The available information on energy use in farm operations, and its conversion into carbon equivalent (CE) is a synthesis of the available information and shows that an output/input ratio, expressed either as gross or net output of C, must be >1 and has an increasing trend over time.
