TLDR
In this article, the diversity of orchids at the Ngebel - Ponorogo RPH area, precisely in the Ringin Putih and Gunung Picis Forest Reserve was done.
Abstract
The research on the diversity of orchids at the Ngebel - Ponorogo RPH area, precisely in the Ringin Putih and Gunung Picis Forest Reserve was done. The results showed that there were 20 orchid species were consisting of 15 epiphytic orchids that belonged to 10 genera and 5 terrestrial orchids that belonged to 5 genera. Epiphytic orchids found in the area grow on host trees such as Coffea trees, Ficus and Litsea.

Diversity patterns of vascular epiphytes along an elevational gradient in the Andes

TL;DR: The study confirms the hump-shaped elevational pattern of vascular epiphyte richness, but the causes of this are still poorly understood and suggest that some taxa have a phylogenetically determined propensity for survival under extreme conditions (low temperatures, low humidity, and low light levels in the forest interior).

Molecular phylogeny of Coelogyne (Epidendroideae; Orchidaceae) based on plastid RFLPS, matK, and nuclear ribosomal ITS sequences: evidence for polyphyly

TL;DR: Compared with Coelogyninae, Coelogyne is polyphyletic, with species falling into at least two well-supported clades, and a reorganization of the genus by including Neogyna and Pholidota and removing several species is proposed.

The nutrient status of epiphytes and their host trees along an elevational gradient in Costa Rica.

TL;DR: The results indicate that the mineral nutrition of the studied epiphyte groups are distinct and highly variable within sites and the diverse uptake mechanisms of these epipHYte groups enhance resource partitioning which may be a mechanism for species richness maintenance in tropical forest canopies.

Orchid Inventory and the Host in Meru Betiri National Park – East Java

TL;DR: It was recorded that there were 25 orchid species belonging to 20 genera, twenty of which are epiphyte and 5 species are terrestrial, with common terrestrial orchids were Corymborkis veratrifolia and Goodyera rubicunda.

Vanda tricolor lindl. conservation in java, indonesia: genetic and geographic structure and history

TL;DR: A study of V. tricolor specimens collected in the wild by the Indonesian botanic gardens, using several population genetics methods elucidates whether the specimens exhibit any genetic structure and how that might relate to their geographical origins.
