Structural Study of La4MgNi19 Hydride by In Situ X-ray and Neutron Powder Diffraction

TL;DR: In situ X-ray and neutron powder diffraction were carried out for the La 4 MgNi 19 alloy sample, which was obtained by annealing under controlled Mg-vapor pressure and temperature as mentioned in this paper.

Computational and experimental study of phase stability, cohesive properties, magnetism and electronic structure of TiMn2

TL;DR: In this article, an ab initio approach was used to calculate phase stability, cohesive and magnetic properties, and the electronic structure of TiMn 2 for the C14 and C15 Laves structure types.

Hydrogen jump diffusion in C14-type ZrMn2H3 : Quasielastic neutron scattering study

TL;DR: In this paper, the mechanism and parameters of hydrogen diffusion in hexagonal Laves-phase hexagonal (C14-type) Laves phase were studied and it was found that the diffusive motion of hydrogen in this system can be described in terms of at least two jump processes: a fast localized H motion with the jump rate and a slower process with the rate.

Recent advances in magnetic structure determination by neutron powder diffraction

TL;DR: In this article, the main formulas governing the analysis of the Bragg magnetic scattering are summarized and shortly discussed and the method of profile fitting without a structural model to get precise integrated intensities and refine the propagation vector(s) of the magnetic structure is discussed.

Hydrogen in Intermetallic Compounds I

TL;DR: In this article, the most important diagnostics in this phase will undoubtedly be the neutron diagnostics, but other systems which are essential in unravelling the energy balance, such as the bolometers will retain a key iminence as will diagnostics determining impurity and instability behaviour, including the spectroscopic and X-ray systems.
