Cyclische Azoverbindungen einschlieslich der Heteroaromaten mit einer NN-Bindung mit hohem Doppelbindungscharakter konnen bei ausreichender Zufuhr thermischer Energie oder elektronischer Anregung molekularen Stickstoff abspalten. Einige Substrate zerfallen bereits spontan, andere sind gegen eine N2-Eliminierung masig oder sogar auserst resistent. In praparativer Hinsicht eroffnet dieser Reaktionstyp eine Vielzahl von interessanten Moglichkeiten, z. B. die Synthese von kleinen Carbo- und Heterocyclen, gespannten Bi- und Polycyclen sowie Kafigverbindungen. Vom theoretisch-mechanistischen Standpunkt sind die Primarfragmente, z. B. Carbene, Trimethylene, Trimethylenmethane, Dipole, Ylide, antiaromatische 4π-Systeme, instabile Cycloalkine und Arine, von aktueller Bedeutung.

Die Umsetzungen von Diazomethan, Diazoathan und 1-Diazo-propan mit den Methylen-cyclopropenen 8 und 15 werden untersucht. 8 ergibt Pyridazin-Derivate, im Falle des Diazoathans wird als Zwischenstufe die cyclische Azoverbindung 12 gefast. 15 liefert Pyrazolenin Derivate, die thermisch zum Pyrazol 20 bzw. Den Cyclopropenen 17 a und b umgewandelt werden. Die Reaktionsmechanismen werden diskutiert.



On the Mode of Reaction of Methylene Cyclopropenes with Diazo Alkanes



The reactions of diazomethane, diazoethane and 1-diazopropane with methylene cyclopropenes 8 and 15 are investigated. 8 yields pyridazine derivatives; with diazoethane the cyclic azo compound 12 is obtained as an intermediate of pyridazine formation. 15 yields pyrazolenine derivatives which are transformed thermally either to pyrazole 20 or to the cyclopropene derivatives 17a and b. The reaction mechanisms are discussed.

Der vollstandige Satz der konfigurationsisomeren 3,8-Diphenyl-1,2-diaza-1-cyclooctene umfast die Individuen 1, 2, 3, und 4. Die bislang unbekannten Verbindungen (2 und 3) wurden dargestellt und, zusammen mit der bisher als 3 angesehenen Verbindung 4, identifiziert. Die eindeutige stereochemische Zuordnung geschah bei 2 durch nichtempirische NMR-Analyse, bei 4 durch Rontgenstrukturanalyse; 1 oder 3 sind als Photo-Isomere (in bezug auf die Liganden an der Azogruppierung) von 2 oder 4 sicher charakterisiert. Die stereoisomeren 1,2-Diaza-1-cyclooctene 5 und 6 sind aud verschiedene Weise dargestellt und NMR-spektroskopisch bestimmt worden.

The complete set of configurationally isomeric 3,8-diphenyl-1-cyclooctenes covers species 1, 2, 3, and 4. The up to now unknown compounds (2 and 3) were prepared and identified, together with compound 4 hitherto thought to be 3. The configuration of 2 and 4 was unambigously determined by nonempirical n. m. r. analysis and X-ray diffraction, respectively; 1 and 3 are sufficiently characterized as photo isomers (with regard to orientation of ligands at the azo group) of 2 or 4. — The stereoisomeric 1,2-diaza-1-cyclooctenes 5 and 6 have been obtained in different ways and determined n. m. r. spectroscopically.
