Production of high-momentum mesons at small angles at a cm energy of 45 GeV at the CERN ISR

TLDR
In this article, the authors measured the invariant cross sections for the production of π ± and K ± mesons in proton-proton collisions in the range 0.41 x p T x = 2 p L/√ s and p L, p T are the longitudinal and transverse components of the momentum of the meson.

Inclusive production of charged pions in p+p collisions at 158 GeV/c beam momentum

TL;DR: In this article, a large-scale TPC tracking system was used to identify charged pions in p+p interactions, and inclusive invariant cross sections were given on a grid of nearly 300 bins per charge over intervals from 0 to 2 GeV/c in transverse momentum and between 0 to 0.85 in Feynman x.

Short distance counting rules for low pT fragmentation

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that fast fragments resulting from such collisions arise via quantum chromodynamics diagrams in which the required quarks and antiquark are produced in a point-like fashion; these can be shown to be the leading diagrams as x, the momentum fraction of the secondary hadron, approaches 1.

Observations on dA scattering at forward rapidities

TL;DR: In this paper, the suppression in the ratio R dAu observed by the BRAHMS Collaboration in forward scattering is stronger than usually appreciated, which is related to the fact that at forward rapidities, the negatively charged hadrons are defined from the ratio of dA and pp scattering cross sections.
Journal ArticleDOI

Parametrisation of hadron inclusive cross sections in p-p collisions extended to very low energies

TL;DR: In this article, a new variable xT=T*/T*max is introduced, where T* is the kinetic energy of a hadron produced in the CMS, and the ratio of the low-energy inclusive differential cross section to that of its corresponding radial-scaling limit is found to be explicitly independent of pt and approaches unity monotonically and quickly from above.

Hadron Fragmentation at High-Energies and Quark Constituents

TL;DR: The systematics of particle ratios in high-energy pp collisions suggest that the same constituent partons are active in the production of particles at small and large transverse momentum p T in the fragmentation region and in the central region of pp collisions as discussed by the authors.

Comparisons of Deep Inelastic e p and e n Cross-Sections

TL;DR: In this paper, cross sections for inelastic scattering of electrons from hydrogen and deuterium were measured for incident energies from 4.5 to 18 GeV, at scattering angles of 18\ifmmode^\circ\else\text degree

Transverse momentum dependence in proton--proton inclusive reactions at very high energies

TL;DR: The dependence of the invariant cross sections for proton-proton inclusive reactions at ISR energies on the c.m. transverse momentum P T is investigated in this paper.

Negative particle production in the fragmentation region at the CERN ISR

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported on the production of π−, K− and p in proton-proton collisions at the CERN ISR, over a range of squared c.m. angles.
