Discovering the relationship between natural resources, energy consumption, gross capital formation with economic growth: Can lower financial openness change the curse into blessing
Humaira Yasmeen,Qingmei Tan,Hashim Zameer,Hashim Zameer,Xuan Vinh Vo,Muhammad Shahbaz,Muhammad Shahbaz +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the relationship between natural resources, gross capital formation, energy consumption, and economic growth was investigated using structural equation modeling technique for the empirical analysis and the conclusions of study indicated the negative relationship of natural resources with economic growth which confirmed the existence of resource curse hypothesis.

Investigating Causal Relations by Econometric Models and Cross-Spectral Methods
TL;DR: In this article, the cross spectrum between two variables can be decomposed into two parts, each relating to a single causal arm of a feedback situation, and measures of causal lag and causal strength can then be constructed.

A simple panel unit root test in the presence of cross-section dependence
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple alternative where the standard ADF regressions are augmented with the cross section averages of lagged levels and first-differences of the individual series is proposed, and it is shown that the individual CADF statistics are asymptotically similar and do not depend on the factor loadings.
