TLDR
The nature of the peptide seems to be a very important factor for the reactivity of copper(II) peptide complexes with bioligands as mentioned in this paper, and only four new ternary Cu(II)-complexes have been obtained.About:

Complex formation of cetirizine drug with bivalent transition metal(II) ions in the presence of alanine: synthesis, characterization, equilibrium studies, and biological activity studies
Abstract: Mononuclear cobalt(II), nickel(II), and copper(II) complexes of cetirizine·2HCl (CTZ = 2-[2-[4-[(4-chlorophenyl)phenyl methyl]piperazine-1-yl]-ethoxy]acetic acid) in the presence of alanine (Ala) as a representative example of amino acids were synthesized and elucidated by different physical techniques. All complexes have been characterized with the help of elemental analyses, molecular weights, molar conductance values, magnetic moments, and spectroscopic data. The measured molar conductance values in DMSO indicate that the complexes are nonelectrolytes. Quantum chemical calculations were performed with semi-empirical method to find the optimum geometry of complexes. The metal–oxygen bond length in the synthesized complexes obeys the order M–OH2 > M–OCTZ > M–OAla. Formation equilibria of the ternary complexes have been investigated. Ternary complexes are formed by a simultaneous mechanism. Stoichiometry and stability constants for the complexes formed are reported. The concentration distributions of vari...

Novel highly emissive non-proteinogenic amino acids: synthesis of 1,3,4-thiadiazolyl asparagines and evaluation as fluorimetric chemosensors for biologically relevant transition metal cations
TL;DR: The results suggest that there is a strong interaction through the donor heteroatoms at the side chain of the various asparagine derivatives, with high sensitivity towards Cu2+ in a ligand–metal complex with 1:2 stoichiometry.

Equilibrium studies of ternary systems containing some selected transition metal ions, triazoles and aromatic carboxylic acids
TL;DR: In this paper, the stability constants of the different binary and ternary complexes formed were calculated on the basis of computer analysis of the titration data, and the relative stability of different ternARY complex species was expressed in terms of Δ log K values, log X and R. S.% parameters.
