Reactivity of copper(II) peptide complexes with bioligands (benzimidazole and creatinine)

TLDR
The nature of the peptide seems to be a very important factor for the reactivity of copper(II) peptide complexes with bioligands as mentioned in this paper, and only four new ternary Cu(II)-complexes have been obtained.

Biological recognition patterns implicated by the formation and stability of ternary metal ion complexes of low-molecular-weight formed with amino acid/peptides and nucleobases/nucleosides

TL;DR: In low-molecular-weight ternary complexes some recognition patterns are repeatedly observed as mentioned in this paper, such as long bonds between metal ions and nucleobases, hydrogen bonds between the amino group of amino acids and a carbonyl group of the nucleobas and vice versa.

(Guanidine)copper complexes: structural variety and application in bioinorganic chemistry and catalysis

TL;DR: In this paper, a review of guanidine copper compounds with an emphasis on structural characteristics and their application in bioinorganic chemistry and catalysis is presented. But the focus of this paper is on the use of the guanidines as neutral donor ligands in copper coordination.

Synthesis, structure and biomimetic properties of Cu(II)-Cu(II) and Cu(II)-Zn(II) binuclear complexes: possible models for the chemistry of Cu-Zn superoxide dismutase.

TL;DR: All the observations indicate that these complexes act as good possible models for superoxide dismutase, and spectral measurements of the homobinuclear complexes have shown an antiferromagnetic exchange interaction.

Copper(II) complexes as superoxide dismutase mimics: Synthesis, characterization, crystal structure and bioactivity of copper(II) complexes

TL;DR: In this article, two new copper(II) complexes of the type [Cu(L)X2], where L = (E)-N-phenyl-2-[phenyl (pyridine-2-yl)methylene]hydrazinecarboxamide X = Cl/Br have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, FAB (fast atomic bombardment) magnetic measurements, electronic absorption, conductivity measurements cyclic voltammetry (CV) and Electron paramagnetic resonance (epr) spectroscopy.
