Recrystallization of high-purity aluminium during equal channel angular pressing

TLDR
In this paper, the mechanism of formation of the microstructure and texture is discussed in the light of the physical phenomena involved, where the oblate grains and the cube texture were rotated anticlockwise about the transverse direction.

Texture evolution in equal-channel angular extrusion

TL;DR: In this paper, texture development in metals of fcc, bcc, and hcp crystal structure processed by a severe plastic deformation (SPD) technique called equal-channel angular extrusion (ECAE) or equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) is discussed.

Fatigue behaviour of light alloys with ultrafine grain structure produced by severe plastic deformation: An overview

TL;DR: The fatigue behavior of light alloys with grain sizes reduced to the micron or sub-micron scale by severe plastic deformation (SPD) is reviewed in this article.

High-strain-rate response of ultra-fine-grained copper

TL;DR: In this article, a modified Johnson-Cook constitutive equation was found to closely capture the dynamic response of ultra-fine-grained (UFG) copper with respect to its deformation.

Recrystallization and Related Annealing Phenomena

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the extent to which we are able to formulate quantitative, physically-based models which can be applied to metal-forming processes, and the subjects treated in this book are all active research areas and form a major part of at least four regular international conference series.

S-C Mylonites

TL;DR: Berthe et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed two types of foliations in mylonites and mylonitic rocks: (a) S-surfaces related to the accumulation of finite strain and (b) C-surface related to displacement discontinuities or zones of relatively high shear strain.

The shearing characteristics associated with equal-channel angular pressing

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the shearing characteristics associated with ECA pressing for six different processing routes and reached conclusions concerning the optimum processing procedure and the development of texture in equal channel angular (ECA) pressing.

Equal channel angular extrusion: from macromechanics to structure formation

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a continual analysis of stress, strain, shear planes, steady and localized flow, multipass processing which define microstructural effects and are critical for attained results.

Severe plastic deformation: simple shear versus pure shear

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of deformation mode on structure evolution under severe plastic deformation was analyzed from a continuum standpoint, all possible strain states range from pure shear to simple shear and can be described by a single parameter.
