TLDR
Study of the blood flow distribution within the myocardium showed a slight decrease of the ratio of subendocardial to subepicardial blood flow in the left ventricular free wall in response to exercise, and within the brain there was a relative increase in theBlood flow to the cerebellum.
Abstract
Regional blood flow was measured with the microsphere method in conscious dogs under resting conditions and during moderate exercise on the treadmill.

Transmural Myocardial Perfusion

TL;DR: The predilection for subendocardial underperfusion and ischemia is great and must be considered in the management of any patient, especially if there is coronary artery disease or ventricular hypertrophy.

Inhibition by carotid baroreflex of exercise-induced increases in arterial pressure.

S C Walgenbach, +1 more
- 01 Mar 1983 -
TL;DR: During exercise, the carotid baroreflex acts to balance finely the opposing effects of sympathetic vasoconstriction and metabolic vasodilation, which results in an increase in arterial pressure.

Regional cerebral blood flow in man at rest and during exercise.

TL;DR: In this article, regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) of the left hemisphere was measured in 12 healthy young men at rest and during physical work on a bicycle ergometer in the supine position at work-load levels of 25 W or 100 W using the intravenous 133Xe method.

Blood flow to the respiratory and limb muscles and to abdominal organs during maximal exertion in ponies.

TL;DR: Pembrokeshire ponies exhibited intense vasoconstriction in the renal and splanchnic vascular beds, similar to that reported in man but not in exercising dogs.

The Circulation of the Fetus in Utero METHODS FOR STUDYING DISTRIBUTION OF BLOOD FLOW, CARDIAC OUTPUT AND ORGAN BLOOD FLOW

TL;DR: Experimental evidence is provided that (1) there is no significant recirculation of microspheres, (2) the distribution of spheres is proportional to flow, and (3) circulatory physiology is not altered by injection of spheres.

Some sources of error in measuring regional blood flow with radioactive microspheres.

TL;DR: Varying numbers of microspheres were injected into the left atrium and ventricles of lambs, sheep, and dogs, and microsphere concentrations were measured in samples drawn simultaneously from two or more arteries (femoral, carotid, or aorta), in the free walls of the left and right ventricle and both kidneys.

Regional blood flow by fractional distribution of indicators.

TL;DR: K42 Cl, Rb86Cl and iodoantipyrine were given in single intravenous injections to rats and the isotope content of the organs and the arterial blood concentrations were studied as a function of isotopes.
