Relaxation Oscillations in Anti-Reflection Coated Low Reflectivity Laser Diode

Abstract
Solving the rate equations without spatial averaging reveals the existence of a relaxation resonance peak in the frequency spectrum of an anti-reflection coated low reflectivity laser diode. This peak occurs at >20 GHz which has not been reported previously. Such a diode may have potential applications in high frequency microwave transmission.

Drastic changes of photoluminescence and X-ray diffraction associating with volume instability of poly(3-alkylthiophene) gel

TL;DR: In this paper, the inter-chain distance of poly(3-alkylthiophene) gel and its luminescence change associated with the volume instability were investigated and it was shown that the photoluminescence changes associated with volume instability are caused by the changes of interchain interaction and the probability of the radiative recombination of photo-excited species depending on the interchain distance.
