RSSDI-ESI Clinical Practice Recommendations for the Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus 2020

TLDR
The present paper presents a meta-analysis of 148 cases of type 2 diabetes patients treated at the UCMS-GTB Hospital in Ahmedabad over a 12-month period from May 2013 to March 2014 that showed clear trends in disease progression and in particular in cases of high blood pressure and insulin resistance.

Empagliflozin, Cardiovascular Outcomes, and Mortality in Type 2 Diabetes.

TL;DR: Patients with type 2 diabetes at high risk for cardiovascular events who received empagliflozin, as compared with placebo, had a lower rate of the primary composite cardiovascular outcome and of death from any cause when the study drug was added to standard care.
