Soil carbon storage controlled by interactions between geochemistry and climate
Sebastian Doetterl,Sebastian Doetterl,Antoine Stevens,Antoine Stevens,Johan Six,Roel Merckx,Kristof Van Oost,Manuel Casanova Pinto,Angélica Casanova-Katny,Cristina Muñoz,Mathieu Boudin,Erick Zagal Venegas,Pascal Boeckx +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured a range of soil and climate variables at 24 sites along a 4,000 km-long north-south transect of natural grassland and shrubland in Chile and the Antarctic Peninsula, which spans a broad range of climatic and geochemical conditions.

TL;DR: An overview of the invasion history and ecology of H. axyridis globally with consideration of future research perspectives is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phylogenetic insights into Andean plant diversification
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compare available phylogenetic studies and divergence time estimates for plant lineages that may have diversified in response to Andean orogeny, and show that high-elevation lineages originated and diversified during or after the major phases of Andean uplift (mid-Miocene to Pliocene).
Journal ArticleDOI
Federico Luebert y Patricio Pliscoff. Sinopsis bioclimática y vegetacional de Chile
TL;DR: Una clasificación a nivel regional de laflora vascular de Chile is presented in this paper, with a focus on the relationship between factores abioticos and bioticos of Chile.
Journal ArticleDOI
Land use and land cover change impacts on the regional climate of non-Amazonian South America: a review.
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the effects of land use and land cover change on the local and regional climate in non-Amazonian regions. And they found that 3.6 million km2 of the original natural vegetation cover in non Amazonian South America were converted into other types of land uses, which is about 4 times greater than the historical Amazon deforestation.
