Journal ArticleDOI
Sintering of Sb2O3-doped ZnO
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of Sb2O3 on the densification of ZnO was studied and compared with that for additives such as ZnSb 2O6,α-Zn7SbO12, and SbO4.
Journal ArticleDOI
Morphological Analysis and Growth of Crystallites During Annealing of ZnO
TL;DR: A detailed analysis of the crystallite shape of zinc oxide produced by thermal decomposition of zinc hydroxynitrate was performed as a function of temperature from 280° to 700°C as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of SiO2 and Cr2O3 on the formation process of ZnO varistors
Hideyuki Kanai,Imai Motomasa +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of SiO2 and Cr2O3 on the formation process of ZnO varistors were investigated, and the effect of the two compounds on the varistor microstructure was shown.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transmission Electron Microscope Study of Antimony‐Doped Zinc Oxide Ceramics
TL;DR: In this paper, a transmission electron microscope investigation of a ZnO powder and low-temperature air-sintered pellets with small additions of Sb{sub 2}O{sub 3}.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polymorphism and Thermodynamic Stability of Zn7Sb2O12
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that a phase that is thermodynamically stable only at high temperatures, but has sufficient kinetic stability to exist metastably at low temperatures, represents an example of successive reactions in which the first phase to crystallize from a reaction mixture is not necessarily the equilibrium phase of lowest free energy.

Sintering of ZnO: I, Densification and Grain Growth
T. K. Gupta,Robert L. Coble +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the densification and grain growth rate of pure MgO powder compacts are measured between 1450 and 1650°C in air and applied to the lattice diffusion model to calculate diffusion coefficients in fair agreement with the directly measured diffusion coefficients for magnesium.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reactions of Lithium as a donor and an acceptor in ZnO
TL;DR: In this article, the reaction of oxidized lithium with ZnO was investigated by means of conductivity measurements and some results were reported for the kinetics and equilibria of the displacement reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interstitial zinc in zinc oxide
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the parabolic rate constant for the oxidation of metallic zinc may be calculated and the results were in good agreement with previous observations, and it may be that interstitial zinc is not involved in this process.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sintering of ZnO: II, Density Decrease and Pore Growth During the Final Stage of the Process*
T. K. Gupta,Robert L. Coble +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the dominant pore size increases with time raised to 1/3 power and the apparent diffusion coefficients calculated from the pore growth rate are in good agreement with lattice diffusivity for zinc.
