Stability analysis of linear systems with time-varying delays: Delay uncertainty and quenching

TL;DR: Conditions for robust stability that can be tested using semidefinite programming using the sum of squares decomposition of multivariate polynomials and the Lyapunov-Krasovskii theorem are developed.
Journal ArticleDOI

$H_\infty$ Fuzzy Control for a Class of Nonlinear Coupled ODE-PDE Systems With Input Constraint

TL;DR: In order to make the attenuation level as small as possible while the input constraint is respected to avoid the high magnitude, a suboptimal H∞-constrained fuzzy control problem is addressed, which is formulated as an LMI optimization problem.
Journal ArticleDOI

Improved approach to robust stability and H∞ performance analysis for systems with an interval time-varying delay

TL;DR: Numerical examples validate the effectiveness of the proposed double-integral inequality method and show that the approach is less conservative than existing methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

Brief paper: Adaptive observers for time-delay nonlinear systems in triangular form

TL;DR: A simple nonlinear observer with a dynamic gain is proposed for a class of bounded-state nonlinear systems subject to state delay by saturating the states of the observer nonlinearities with either symmetric or non-symmetric saturation functions, showing that the observer exists, whatever the delay is.
Journal ArticleDOI

Matrix Analysis

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present results of both classic and recent matrix analyses using canonical forms as a unifying theme, and demonstrate their importance in a variety of applications, such as linear algebra and matrix theory.
