Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and herbicidal activity of novel pyrazole aromatic ketone analogs as HPPD inhibitor.

TL;DR: These pyrazole aromatic ketone derivatives could be used as lead structures for development of HPPD herbicides against dicotyledonous weeds with further structure modification.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design, Synthesis, and Herbicidal Activity of Thioether Containing 1,2,4-Triazole Schiff Bases as Transketolase Inhibitors.

TL;DR: In this article, 36 thioether compounds containing 1,2,4-triazole Schiff bases were designed and synthesized for herbicidal activity evaluation, and the results demonstrated that compounds 5av and 5aw provided excellent weed control with inhibition of over 90% against the tested weeds, even at concentrations as low as 100 mg/L in vitro.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design and synthesis of novel cylopentapyrazoles bearing 1,2,3-thiadiazole moiety as potent antifungal agents.

TL;DR: A combination of compound 1a + 2b, having a cylopentapyrazole ring on the 1,2,3-thiadiazole backbone, shows promising fungicidal activity and deserves further development.

Synthesis and anti-inflammatory activity of 1-acylthiosemicarbazides, 1,3,4-oxadiazoles, 1,3,4-thiadiazoles and 1,2,4-triazole-3-thiones.

TL;DR: Side effects of the compounds were examined on gastric mucosa, liver and stomach and none of the compound showed significant side effects compared with reference nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigating the mode of action of natural phytotoxins

TL;DR: The potential use of natural phytotoxins (including allelochemicals) to develop novel tools for weed management is enhanced by the elucidation of their modes of action, which may yield important clues to the specific physiological processes affected by the compounds and uncover novel mechanisms of action.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and biological evaluation of 3,6-disubstituted [1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4]thiadiazole derivatives as a novel class of potential anti-tumor agents.

TL;DR: In this assay, the anti-tumor activity of the newly synthesized compounds could not be interpreted in terms of tyrosine kinase inactivation but more likely as a relatively broad specificity for the ATP-binding domain of other kinases.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, crystal structure, herbicidal activities and 3D-QSAR study of some novel 1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-a]pyridine derivatives

TL;DR: It is possible that, with further structure modification, 1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-a]pyridine derivatives, which possess good herbicidal activities, may become novel lead compounds for the development of herbicides against dicotyledonous weeds.
