TLDR
The binding capacity for both BSA and soybean trypsin inhibitor increased with increasing temperature and the effect on the dynamic binding capacity of dimers present in the BSA solution has been evaluated and a closed-loop frontal analysis was used to determine the equilibrium binding capacities.

Convective Interaction Media (CIM)--short layer monolithic chromatographic stationary phases.

TL;DR: The purpose of this review is to give an overview about short methacrylate monolithic columns commercialised under the trademark Convective Interaction Media (CIM).
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of CIM monoliths as enzyme reactors.

TL;DR: The Michaelis-Menten constant K(m) and the turnover number k(3) of the immobilized enzymes were found to be flow-unaffected and indicate the absence of a diffusional limitation in immobilized CIM enzyme reactors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modeling and robust pooling design of a preparative cation-exchange chromatography step for purification of monoclonal antibody monomer from aggregates.

TL;DR: A model that describes the separation of the monomer of monoclonal antibodies from the dimer and larger oligomers on preparative-scale using cation-exchange chromatography is implemented and used to establish an elution end collection criterion such that the step can robustly provide the target purity of monomers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Versatility of polymethacrylate monoliths for chromatographic purification of biomolecules

TL;DR: The development and use of polymethacrylate monoliths for research applications have grown rapidly in recent times and have enabled the achievement of high through-put biomolecule purification on semi-preparative and preparative scales.

Comparative studies on the isothermal characteristics of proteins adsorbed under batch equilibrium conditions to ion-exchange, immobilised metal ion affinity and dye affinity matrices with different ionic strength and temperature conditions.

TL;DR: The apparent changes in enthalpy and entropy for these protein-ligand interactions have been derived from the dependency of the change in the apparent Gibbs free energy on 1/T.
