Proceedings ArticleDOI
Reduction of motion artifacts from Pulse oximeter's PPG signals using MSICA
TL;DR: A simple technique, multi-scale independent component analysis (MsICA), to reduce MA component present in PPG data proved the effectiveness of the technique in measurement of accurate SpO2, helpful for effective medical diagnosis.
Dissertation
An Attempt to Design Low Cost Effective Infusion Devicefor Delivering of Drugs Depending on the Heart Rate
TL;DR: In this thesis, the sensor circuit which has a light source for illuminating the target object and a detector for receiving that light from that object is designed, which is basically controlling the flow rate of drug by measuring the heart rate.

[Changes in finger plethysmograph due to caloric vestibular stimulation. I. Reaction in normal subjects (author's transl)].
TL;DR: In this article, the authors conducted a study on 40 normal subjects aged 10-19, 20-29, 30-49, and over 50 years and found that the reaction of diminution of the maximum reaction point was mainly due to vestibular stimulation induced by caloric irrigation, although there might be other nonvestibular reactions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Noninvasive monitoring of vascular compromise in trauma
TL;DR: Photoplethysmography has proved to be a simple technique that requires little or no training for interpretation, provides continuous monitoring, is noninvasive and atraumatic in nature, is portable for easy set-up, and is relatively inexpensive.
Book ChapterDOI
Contactless measurement of dermal oxygen saturation with spatial resolution
TL;DR: In the last years the Institute of High Frequency Technology (IHF), RWTH Aachen, has developed an enhancement of the PPG measurement called Photoplethysmography Imaging (PPGI) giving the possibility to measure skin perfusion contactless with a sensitive camera instead of the classical sensor.
