Journal ArticleDOI

In vitro fit of CAD-CAM complete arch screw-retained titanium and zirconia implant prostheses fabricated on 4 implants

TL;DR: In the limitations of the present in vitro study, implant‐supported CAD‐CAM fabricated titanium and zirconia complete fixed dental prosthesis frameworks showed comparable marginal fit and three‐dimensional microgap measurements of frameworks showed clinically acceptable misfit values.
Journal ArticleDOI

SEM evaluation of the precision of fit of CAD/CAM zirconia and metal-ceramic posterior crowns.

TL;DR: The results confirmed that destructive methods are not required to assess the marginal fit of dental prosthetic crowns and was within the range of clinical acceptance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Scanning electron microscopy of the marginal fit of ceramometal restorations with facially butted porcelain margins

TL;DR: The marginal adaptation of facially butted porcelain ceramometal restorations using the direct lift technique is measured and this measurement is compared to the shoulder-bevel ceramometrical restoration and porcelains jacket crown.
Journal ArticleDOI

Marginal distortion of cast restorations induced by cementation

TL;DR: The marginal opening of complete veneer gold crowns increased during cementation and the vertical heights of well fitting crowns also increased significantly after cementation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of marginal fit between all-porcelain margin versus alumina-supported margin on Procera Alumina crowns.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that there was no statistically significant difference in the marginal fit of coping and porcelain-butt margins, and clinicians may choose to use a coping margin, as it is less labor intensive and requires less time for fabrication, unless there is a specific high esthetic need for a porcelian-butt margin.
