In this article, the gamma to 3 pi coupling constant is compared with the prediction of an extended PCAC hypothesis, and a remarkable relation for the dimensionless coupling constant g( rho pi pi ) emerges.
Abstract
The recent experimental measurement of the gamma to 3 pi coupling constant is compared with the prediction of an extended PCAC hypothesis. Consistency is then sought between the omega rho pi coupling constant, as obtained from an analogue of the GT relation for vector mesons, and what is predicted by the low-energy theorems. A remarkable relation for the dimensionless coupling constant g( rho pi pi ) emerges, mod g( rho pi pi ) mod =2 pi . The authors also find that the coupling constant g( omega rho 0 pi 0), as obtained from the GT relation for vector mesons, does not support an omega pi pi pi contact term.

Estimate of strangeness content of the nucleon

B Bagchi, +1 more
- 01 Nov 1990 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the SU(3) relationship among the meson-baryon coupling constant was exploited to estimate the strangeness content of the nucleon. But the role of the gluonic couplings of the eta and eta mesons was not explored.

Axial vector vertex in spinor electrodynamics

TL;DR: In this article, the axial-vector vertex in spinor electrodynamics has anomalous properties which differ with those found by the formal manipulation of field equations, and the divergence of axial vector current is not the usual expression calculated from the field equations.

Consequences of anomalous ward identities

TL;DR: In this paper, the anomalous Ward identities are shown to satisfy consistency or integrability relations, which restrict their possible form, for the case of SU(3) × SU(1) and for SU(2) + SU (3) + 2.

A PCAC puzzle: π0→γγ in the σ-model

TL;DR: In this paper, a modification of the Pauli-Villars-Gupta regularization was proposed which respects both PCAC and gauge invariance for π0→γγ.

Global Aspects of Current Algebra

TL;DR: In this paper, a new mathematical framework for the Wess-Zumino chiral effective action is described, and it is shown that this action obeys an a priori quantization law, analogous to Dirac's quantization of magnetic change.

Anomalous Ward identities in spinor field theories

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors consider the model of a spinor field with arbitrary internal degrees of freedom having arbitrary nonderivative coupling to external scalar, pseudoscalar, vector, and axial-vector fields.
