TLDR
In this paper, a set of relations that extend the Slutsky relations to maximization problems with many constraints is presented, and it is shown that, for each constraint, there exists a symmetric negative semidefinite matrix of the type.

The Economics and Mathematics of Aggregation: Formal Models of Efficient Group Behavior

TL;DR: A crucial feature of this approach is that it does not restrict the form of individual preferences or the nature of individual consumptions; it allows for public as well as private consumption, for intragroup production, and for any type of consumption externalities across group members.

New Developments in Aggregation Economics

TL;DR: In this article, the aggregate demand of a group, considered as a vector field, can be decomposed into a sum of gradients, and the conditions under which it is possible to recover the underlying structure of individual preferences, the decision process and the resulting intragroup transfers from the group's aggregate behavior are investigated.

On the characterization of excess demand functions

TL;DR: In this paper, the necessary and sufficient conditions that characterize the individual excess demand function when it depends smoothly on prices and endowments are given, and it is shown that these conditions are equivalent to the symmetry and negative semidefiniteness of Slutsky matrix, Walras' law and zero homogeneity of Marshallian demand functions.

Characterizing demand functions with price dependent income

TL;DR: In this paper, the demand function of a consumer whose wealth depends on prices is studied, and it is shown that the Slutsky relations fully characterize the demand functions, as in the traditional cases.

The inverse problem in convex optimization with linear constraints

TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered a maximization problem under m linear constraints and gave necessary and sufficient conditions for a given function in R n to be the solution of a multi-constraint maximisation problem.

Efficient intra-household allocations: a general characterization and empirical tests

TL;DR: In this article, the authors explore what the theory of individuals implies for households that have more than one member and make minimal assumptions about how the individual members of the household resolve conflicts.

Exterior Differential Systems

TL;DR: The Cartan-Khler theory of linear differential systems has been applied to the study of exterior differential systems as mentioned in this paper, where the characteristic variety prolongation theory applications of commutative algebra and algebraic geometry are studied.

Chapter 12 Duality approaches to microeconomic theory

TL;DR: The chapter discusses a variety of other duality theorems—that is, other methods for equivalently describing tastes or technology, either locally or globally, in the one-output, N-inputs context.
