TLDR
Germination of the polymorphic seeds and seedling growth of Atriplex triangularis under various salinity, gibberellic acid and kinetin treatments were determined.
Abstract
Germination of the polymorphic seeds and seedling growth of Atriplex triangularis under various salinity, gibberellic acid and kinetin treatments were determined. Gibberellic acid (GA3; 2.9 mM) promoted germination and growth at high NaCl concentrations (345 mM). Kinetin (4.7 μM) stimulated germination at all salinities and seed sizes tested. GA3 and kinetin generally increased seedling growth at all concentrations of salinity studied. Higher concentrations of kinetin were found to be inhibitory.

Population ecology of halophyte seeds

TL;DR: The persistent seed bank of annual halophytes appears adaptive, and provides multiple seed germination opportunities which may prevent local extinction when environmental stress increases, including fluctuations in salinity levels and tidal activity.

Seed enhancement with cytokinins: changes in growth and grain yield in salt stressed wheat plants

TL;DR: Among priming agents, kinetin was effective in increasing germination rate in the salt-intolerant and early seedling growth in the Salt-tolerant cultivar when compared with hydropriming under salt stress, and the cytokinin-priming induced effects were cultivar specific.

Alleviation of Seed Dormancy in the Desert ForbZygophyllum simplexL. from Pakistan

TL;DR: Germination of Zygophyllum simplex seeds under various salinity, proline, betaine, GA and kinetin treatments was determined, and GA completely alleviated the effect of salinity at all concentrations used.

Action of plant growth regulators and salinity on seed germination of Ceratoides lanata

TL;DR: Seed germination decreased with the increase in salinity, and more than 10% of the seeds germinated at 900 mmol/L NaCl, while ethephon almost completely reverted the effect of salinity.

Salinity, temperature, and growth regulator effects on seed germination of Salicornia europaea L.

TL;DR: Although S. europaea is the most salt tolerant of the species growing on the salt pan in which it occurs, an increase in salinity stress proved to be inhibitory to seed germination for all temperature regimes investigated.

Water potential, temperature, and kinetin effects on seed germination in soil and solute systems.

TL;DR: Germination in soil and solute systems was compared to determine the usefulness of solute germination data for predicting germination in dry soil and concluded conclusions about the effects of water stress at one temperature are not valid at other temperatures if a water stress-temperature interaction exists.
