TLDR
In this article, the experimental TG and DTG curves were used for examination of the thermodynamics and kinetics of amine hydrochlorides, and the values evaluated for the enthalpy of vaporization enable the estimation of some parameters characterizing this group of compounds, namely, the enthpy of formation and the energy of the crystal lattice of the salts, as well as the formation of the C n H 2 n + 1 NH + 3 ions.

Physical characteristics and chemical degradation of amorphous quinapril hydrochloride.

TL;DR: It appears that agglomeration and sintering of particles caused by softening of the solid, particularly above T(g), and a resulting reduction of the particle surface/volume ratio play a major role in affecting the reaction rate by decreasing the rate of removal of the gaseous HCl product.

A novel process for the co-synthesis of vinyl chloride monomer and sodium carbonate using a gold catalyst

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel process for the co-synthesis of vinyl chloride monomer and sodium carbonate is described, which involves a variation of the Solvay process in which a tertiary amine is used as a hydrogen chloride acceptor.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal properties of amine hydrochlorides: Part II. Thermolysis and thermochemistry of alkanaminium chlorides

TL;DR: In this article, the Van't Hoff equation was used for the estimation of the enthalpy of formation and the energy of the crystal lattice of alkanaminium chlorides.
Journal ArticleDOI

Remarks on the description of reaction kinetics under non-isothermal conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, the degree of conversion in the rate equation is used to describe non-isothermal reaction kinetics, and the existence of the total differential of α = f( t, T ) is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal properties, thermolysis and thermochemistry of alkanaminium iodides

TL;DR: In this article, the thermal features of unbranched compounds of general formula (CnH2n+1)pNH4−p]I, with n = 0-4 and p = 1-4, were studied by thermoanalytical methods (DTA, TG, DTG and Q-TG).

Thermoanalytical properties of analytical-grade reagents: Ammonium salts

L. Erdey, +2 more
- 01 Jun 1964 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated derivatically ammonium salts and measured the enthalpy change of the salts as a function of temperature, and derived the temperatures at which the salts may be dried without decomposition.

Lattice Energies and their Significance in Inorganic Chemistry

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an account of the calculation of the lattice energies of ionic solids, the results of such calculations for a large number of salts and the application of these results and calculations to some problems in inorganic chemistry.

Optical Phonons and Phase Transitions in the Ammonium Halides

TL;DR: In this paper, the external optical phonon modes in the ammonium and deuteroammonium halides have been studied through their intrinsic phase transitions in the temperature range 4 −290°K using infrared and Raman techniques.
