TLDR
In this paper, a direct oxazoline→thiazoline conversion can be realized by thiolysis of oxazolines with H2S in methanol/triethylamine, followed by cyclodehydration with Burgess reagent.

The chemistry of 2-oxazolines (1985–present)

TL;DR: The use of chiral oxazolines as ligands in asymmetric catalysis has been extensively studied in the literature as mentioned in this paper, with a large number of important publications detailing oxazoline-related chemistry, suggesting that research in this area, as in synthetic organic chemistry in general, has yet to mature.

Bis(oxazoline)copper(II) complexes as chiral catalysts for the enantioselective Diels-Alder reaction

TL;DR: In this paper, the utility of chiral Cu(1I) bis(oxazoline) complexes as Lewis acid catalysts for the Diels-Alder reactions of unsubstituted acrylimides was investigated.
