Three-phase flying-capacitor MMC with six coupled inductors

TL;DR: By integrating one coupled inductor with two windings in two half-arms, the number of inductors required is reduced from 12 to 6, and the overall volumes and weights of cores and windings can be reduced by 41.7% and 41.4% when compared with discrete inductors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Wound rotor doubly fed induction machine with radial rotary transformer

TL;DR: In this paper, a wound rotor doubly fed induction machine is presented, in which the typical brushes and slip-rings are substituted by rotary transformers, and a comparison between simulated and measured results shows the good approximation of the steady-state model with the reality of this equipment.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Operation-Oriented Design Procedure of a Three-Phase Dual-Active Bridge Converter for a Wide Operation Range

TL;DR: This paper provides an operation-oriented design procedure of a three-phase dual-active bridge converter and shows the optimal design of the series inductors and the transformer to minimize the loss for the desired voltage and power range.
Journal ArticleDOI

A constant current source for extracellular microiontophoresis.

TL;DR: A sophisticated constant-current source suitable for extracellular microiontophoresis of tract-tracing substances, such as Phaseolus vulgaris leucoagglutinin, Biocytin or Fluoro-Gold, is described.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

The Lifetime/Volume ratio as an index to assess the reliability of power converters

TL;DR: In this paper, the Lifetime/Volume ratio (LV) is proposed as a suitable metric to asses the reliability performance of power converters, and two examples are included to exemplify the usefulness of the index.
