TLDR
AHP has been used for solving multi-criteria resource allocation problems by converting them into equivalent single objective, maximization-type LP problems as mentioned in this paper, and at least two approaches can be identified for such applications.

A combined AHP-GP model to allocate internal auditing time to projects

TL;DR: An integrated approach where the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is used to deal with qualitative risk assessments and a goal programming model to distribute available hours in such a way that risk is minimised is discussed.

Revenue allocation in Formula One: a pairwise comparison approach

TL;DR: This work introduces an axiom called scale invariance, which requires the ranking of the teams to be independent of the parameter controlling inequality, and reveals the eigenvector method is revealed to violate this condition in this dataset.

Using AHP and L.P. for choosing the best alternatives based the gap analysis

TL;DR: A new method by which the DM is able to accept/reject alternatives based on AHP weights by comparing the anticipated status with the desired status of alternatives and using LP and AHP combination for it.

Supporting medical technology development with the analytic hierarchy process

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed an adequate method of CTA to influence decision making about the development and clinical application of a medical technology, which is related to the timing of its application, the information used in the assessment, the consensus formation about, and the quality of the assessment outcomes.

Financial Service of Wealth Management Banking: Balanced Scorecard Approach

TL;DR: In this article, the organizational performance of wealth management banks in Taiwan is evaluated by applying the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPISI).

The Analytic Hierarchy Process

TL;DR: Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) as mentioned in this paper is a systematic procedure for representing the elements of any problem hierarchically, which organizes the basic rationality by breaking down a problem into its smaller constituent parts and then guides decision makers through a series of pairwise comparison judgments to express the relative strength or intensity of impact of the elements in the hierarchy.

Decisions with Multiple Objectives: Preferences and Value Trade-Offs

TL;DR: In this article, a confused decision maker, who wishes to make a reasonable and responsible choice among alternatives, can systematically probe his true feelings in order to make those critically important, vexing trade-offs between incommensurable objectives.

An extension of the analytic hierarchy process for industrial R&D project selection and resource allocation

TL;DR: In this article, an extension of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for priority setting and resource allocation in the industrial R&D environment is explored, and an AHP modeling framework is developed, and is linked to a spreadsheet model to assist in the ranking of a large number of project alternatives.
