Within this context, this paper introduces and experimentally validates a new sensor allowing to detect EMP.
Simulation results show that EMP can achieve high performance in terms of network lifetime.
The results are of importance in determining the EMP shielding capabilities of different media and to get a measure of the EMP leakage through buildings, antenna radomes and shelters.
These important conclusions are significant in improving the revolution of structure and technology of EMP protection device.
It is the first time both discharge current and associated EMP are effectively measured in the same nanosecond-scale experiment, where this EMP contribution is effectively detected by conductive probes.
In this paper, we demonstrate that this is not necessarily the case for some devices equipped with backscatter radios.
This research can serve as a base for taking further protection measures to prevent on-chip device from breakdown by the attack of an EMP.
It appears that conductive probes have limitations for the measurement of the high-frequency components of the EMP fields.
The obtained results revealed a localized effect of the EMP since the injected faults were found dependent on the spatial position of the antenna on top of the circuit's surface.
Radiotherapy is a curative treatment in selected cases of EMP disease in situ affecting large areas of the anogenital region.

What is transient?
4 answers
Transient refers to a temporary or short-lived state or phenomenon that disappears or disintegrates after a period of stable operation. In the context of electronics, transient technology involves devices that can fully or partially disintegrate after a predefined period, offering applications in areas such as biomedical implants, environmental sensors, and data-secure hardware systems. This emerging field encompasses materials like metals, polymers, and semiconductor materials that are designed to disappear with minimal or non-traceable remains. Transient imaging, on the other hand, involves techniques like time-of-flight (ToF) cameras to observe events at the speed of light and resolve challenges related to light transport and path separation. Overall, transient technology presents exciting opportunities in various research domains by enabling devices to degrade without leaving harmful waste products behind.
What are the applications of terahertz technology in energy related domains?
5 answers
Terahertz technology finds applications in various energy-related domains such as aerospace, manufacturing, construction, and oil and gas industries. It enables accurate measurements of layer thickness, location of metallic inserts, and detection of discontinuities in materials that are challenging for conventional inspection methods. Terahertz systems offer powerful spectroscopy capabilities with micrometer resolution, allowing insights into the structure and material of objects, making them valuable for energy-related applications. Additionally, terahertz radiation is utilized for medical imaging and diagnostics, including cancer detection based on the absorption and reflection properties of biological tissues, showcasing its relevance in healthcare aspects related to energy and well-being.
