TL;DR: The 2XMM catalogue as mentioned in this paper is the largest ever made at X-ray wavelengths, containing 246 897 detections drawn from 3491 public XMM-Newton observations over a 7-year interval, which relate to 191 870 unique sources.
Journal ArticleDOI
Exploring the X-ray sky with the XMM-Newton bright serendipitous survey
R. Della Ceca,Tommaso Maccacaro,A. Caccianiga,P. Severgnini,V. Braito,Xavier Barcons,Francisco J. Carrera,M. G. Watson,Jonathan Tedds,Hermann Brunner,Ingo Lehmann,M. J. Page,Georg Lamer,Axel Schwope +13 more
TL;DR: The XMM-Newton Bright Serendipitous Survey (XNS) as mentioned in this paper is composed of two flux-limited samples: the BSS and the HBSS having a flux limit of f(x) similar or equal to 7 x 10-14) erg cm(-2) s(-1) in the 0.5-4.5 keV energy band, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
The cosmological properties of AGN in the XMM-Newton Hard Bright Survey
R. Della Ceca,A. Caccianiga,P. Severgnini,Tommaso Maccacaro,Hermann Brunner,Francisco J. Carrera,F. Cocchia,Silvia Mateos,Mat Page,Jonathan Tedds +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the XMM-Newton Hard Bright Serendipitous Sample (HBSS) to investigate the X-ray luminosity function (XLF) of absorbed and unabsorbed AGN.
Journal ArticleDOI
Radio-emitting narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxies in the JVLA perspective
Marco Berton,Marco Berton,Enrico Congiu,Enrico Congiu,Emilia Järvelä,Robert Antonucci,Preeti Kharb,Matthew L. Lister,Andrea Tarchi,A. TL;DR: In this paper, the first results of a survey on 74 narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxies (NLS1s) carried out in 2015 with the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array (JVLA) at 5 GHz in A-configuration were reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
WISE colours and star formation in the host galaxies of radio-loud narrow-line Seyfert 1
A. Caccianiga,Sonia Antón,Sonia Antón,Lucía Ballo,Luigi Foschini,Tommaso Maccacaro,R. Della Ceca,P. Severgnini,M. J. M. Marchã,Silvia Mateos,E. Sani +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the mid-infrared properties of the largest sample of radio-loud narrow-line Seyfert 1 (RL NLS1) collected to date, using data from the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE).
