TL;DR: The Metrology for Meteorology (MeteoMet) project as mentioned in this paper is an attempt to bridge the meteorological and metrological communities, which is the concept of traceability, an idea used in both fields but with a subtle difference in meaning.
Journal ArticleDOI
The MeteoMet2 project—highlights and results
A. Merlone,Francesca Sanna,G. Beges,S A Bell,Giulio Beltramino,J. Bojkovski,Manuel Chapa Brunet,D. del Campo,Antonio Castrillo,N. Chiodo,Matteo Colli,Graziano Coppa,R. Cuccaro,M. Dobre,J. TL;DR: The MeteoMet project as mentioned in this paper is the largest EMRP consortium, which developed new metrological techniques, as well as improving existing ones, for use in meteorological observations and climate records.
Journal ArticleDOI
The basics of calibration procedure and estimation of uncertainty budget for meteorological temperature sensors
TL;DR: The sensors commonly used in the meteorological community were calibrated using a comparison method in the temperature range from −40 to +50 °C using a typical liquid thermostatic bath and a climatic chamber.
Journal ArticleDOI
The α–β Transition of Nitrogen
TL;DR: In this paper, an extensive study was made also of the solid α-β transition of nitrogen, using both the continuous heating method and the pulse-heating method, which is of significantly lower quality than the triple point of nitrogen.
Journal ArticleDOI
The triple point of nitrogen
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present accurate measurements of the triple point of nitrogen on ITS-90, and its temperature value is found to be T90 = 63152 6 K (expanded uncertainty U = 030 mK, reproducibility better than 1 mK).
