Changes to Airborne Pollen Counts across Europe
Chiara Ziello,Tim H. Sparks,Nicole Estrella,Jordina Belmonte,Karl Christian Bergmann,Edith Bucher,Maria Antonia Brighetti,Athanasios Damialis,Monique Detandt,Carmen Galán,Regula Gehrig,L. Grewling,Adela Montserrat Gutiérrez Bustillo,Margrét Hallsdóttir,Marie-Claire Kockhans-Bieda,Concepción De Linares,Dorota Myszkowska,Anna Páldy,Adriana Sanchez,Matt Smith,Michel Thibaudon,Alessandro Travaglini,A. Uruska,Rosa María Valencia-Barrera,Despoina Vokou,Reinhard Wachter,Letty A. de Weger,Annette Menzel +27 more
TL;DR: An increasing trend in the yearly amount of airborne pollen for many taxa in Europe is revealed, which is more pronounced in urban than semi-rural/rural areas, and it is suggested the anthropogenic rise of atmospheric CO levels may be influential.
Journal ArticleDOI
A taxonomic backbone for the global synthesis of species diversity in the angiosperm order Caryophyllales
Patricia Hernández-Ledesma,Walter G. Berendsohn,Thomas Borsch,Sabine von Mering,Hossein Akhani,Salvador Arias,Idelfonso Castañeda-Noa,Urs Eggli,Roger Eriksson,Hilda Flores-Olvera,Susy Fuentes-Bazan,Gudrun Kadereit,Cornelia Klak,Nadja Korotkova,Reto Nyffeler,Gilberto Ocampo,Helga Ochoterena,Bengt Oxelman,Richard K. Rabeler,Adriana Sanchez,Boris O. Schlumpberger,Pertti Uotila +21 more
TL;DR: A taxonomic backbone at the genus level is provided that reflects the current state of knowledge and accepts 749 genera for the Caryophyllales, a major lineage of flowering plants with approximately 12500 species in 39 families.
Journal ArticleDOI
Taxonomy of Polygonoideae (Polygonaceae): A new tribal classification
Journal ArticleDOI
Phylogenetics of Polygonaceae with an Emphasis on the Evolution of Eriogonoideae
Adriana Sanchez,Kathleen A. Kron +1 more
TL;DR: Phylogenetic analysis of data from the flanking exons of the second intron of LEAFY generally supports the major groupings found in the chloroplast analysis and a new definition of the subfamilies is proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Large‐Scale Phylogeny of Polygonaceae Based on Molecular Data
TL;DR: Two large clades comprise Polygonaceae, generally corresponding to those found in previous molecular analyses, and Circumscription of most of the currently recognized subgroups withinPolygonaceae did not agree with clades identified in the total data analyses.
