Aortic Arch Pulse Wave Velocity Assessed by Magnetic Resonance Imaging as a Predictor of Incident Cardiovascular Events: The MESA (Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis).
Yoshiaki Ohyama,Bharath Ambale-Venkatesh,Chikara Noda,Jang Young Kim,Yutaka Tanami,Gisela Teixido-Tura,Atul R. Chugh,Alban Redheuil,Chia Ying Liu,Colin O. Wu,W. Gregory Hundley,David A. Bluemke,Eliseo Guallar,Joao A.C. Lima +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the association of aortic arch pulse wave velocity (PWV) with incident CVD events in MESA (Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis).
Journal ArticleDOI
Reproducibility of functional aortic analysis using magnetic resonance imaging: the MESA.
Chikara Noda,Bharath Ambale Venkatesh,Yoshiaki Ohyama,Chia Ying Liu,Elzbieta Chamera,Alban Redheuil,Gisela Teixido-Tura,Atul R. Chugh,Colin O. Wu,Gregory Hundley,David A. Bluemke,Joao A.C. Lima +11 more
TL;DR: MRI can provide a repeatable method of measuring aortic structural and functional parameters and intra- and inter-observer reproducibility of all aorti variables was excellent, suggesting that it is acceptable to measure thoracic aorta measurements by MRI.
Journal ArticleDOI
HIV infection and abnormal regional ventricular function
Hong Lai,Alban Redheuil,Wenjing Tong,David A. Bluemke,David A. Bluemke,Joao A.C. Lima,Shiquan Ren,Shenghan Lai +7 more
TL;DR: HIV infection may be associated with subclinical regional left ventricular systolic and diastolic dysfunction in individuals free of overt cardiovascular disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
3D aortic morphology and stiffness in MRI using semi-automated cylindrical active surface provides optimized description of the vascular effects of aging and hypertension.
Thomas Dietenbeck,Damian Craiem,David Rosenbaum,Alain Giron,Alain De Cesare,Kevin Bouaou,X. Girerd,Philippe Cluzel,Alban Redheuil,Nadjia Kachenoura +9 more
TL;DR: A semi-automated method based on cylindrical active surfaces was proposed for the 3D segmentation of the aorta using a single MRI dataset, providing aortic diameters at anatomical landmarks, aortsic volumes and the aORTic centerline length used for PWV estimation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kinetic index combining native and postcontrast myocardial T1 in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
Nadjia Kachenoura,Laila Besson-Hajji,Martin J. Graves,Scott Reid,Gilles Soulat,Gilles Soulat,Golmehr Ashrafpoor,Alain De Cesare,Albert Hagège,Albert Hagège,Alban Redheuil,Elie Mousseaux,Elie Mousseaux +12 more
TL;DR: To evaluate ability of pre‐ and postcontrast apparent T1* indices, as well as their combination to characterize myocardial structural changes in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).
