Stelzer,David Brachman,John H. Suh,Christopher J. Schultz,Jean Paul Bahary,Barbara Fisher,Barbara Fisher,Harold Kim,Albert Murtha,Erica Hlavin Bell,Minhee Won,Minesh P. Mehta,Walter J. Curran +22 more
TL;DR: In a cohort of patients with grade 2 glioma who were younger than 40 years of age and had undergone subtotal tumor resection or who were 40 yearsof age or older, progression-free survival and overall survival were longer among those who received combination chemotherapy in addition to radiation therapy than amongThose who received radiation therapy alone.

Method and System for Automatic Detection and Segmentation of Tumors and Associated Edema (Swelling) in Magnetic Resonance (Mri) Images
TL;DR: In this paper, a method and system for segmenting an object represented in one or more input images, each of the input images comprising a plurality of pixels, is presented. And each pixel or a group of pixels is classified based on the measured features of the one or multiple input images and the corresponding template images in accordance with a classification model.
Journal ArticleDOI
Epidural anesthesia and cancer recurrence rates after radical prostatectomy
Ban C. H. Tsui,Saifudin Rashiq,Donald Schopflocher,Albert Murtha,Sunita Broemling,Jennifer Pillay,Brendan T. Finucane +6 more
TL;DR: No difference was observed between the epidural and control groups in disease-free survival at a median follow-up time of 4.5 years, and there is a need for large randomized controlled trials to determine the ability of epidural analgesia to alter disease recurrence rates following radical prostatectomy.
Book ChapterDOI
Segmenting brain tumors with conditional random fields and support vector machines
TL;DR: This paper investigates the tumor segmentation performance of a recent variant of DRF models that takes advantage of the powerful Support Vector Machine (SVM) classification method, and indicates that the SVM-based DRFs offer a significant advantage over the other approaches.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comprehensive Genomic Analysis in NRG Oncology/RTOG 9802: A Phase III Trial of Radiation Versus Radiation Plus Procarbazine, Lomustine (CCNU), and Vincristine in High-Risk Low-Grade Glioma.

TL;DR: This post hoc analysis supports the notion that patients with IDH-mutant high-risk LGG regardless of codeletion status receive benefit from the addition of PCV, and is the first to report the predictive value of the WHO-defined diagnostic classification in a set of uniformly treated patients with LGG in a clinical trial.
