Impact of Shale Gas Exploration and Exploitation Activities on the Quality of Ambient Air—The Case Study of Wysin, Poland

TL;DR: In this article , a two-year monitoring of a set of air pollutants, as well as gases directly related to shale gas exploration processes, was carried out at Stary Wiec village in the vicinity (1100 m) of the shale gas wells area in Wysin (Pomeranian voivodeship, north of Poland), covering the stages of preparation, drilling, hydrofracturing and closing of wells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Integrated Precipitable Water from GPS Observations and CIMEL Sunphotometer Measurements at CGO Belsk

TL;DR: Results of integrated precipitable water co-located measurements from two techniques: GPS solution and CIMEL-318 sunphotometer revealed systematic difference between techniques; IPW bias changes with season: annual close to 1 mm IPW (and semi-annual term also present).

Global Solar Radiation and Direct Aerosol Forcing at Belsk, Poland

TL;DR: In this article, a comparison of global solar radiation fluxes at the bottom of the atmosphere and Direct Aerosol Radiative Forcing (DARF) values determined by two different methods is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Method for monitoring of excited atom populations

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple method for monitoring of resonantly excited atom populations was presented, which is especially useful in the range of high atomic number densities, where due to reabsorption the excited atom population cannot be obtained by observation of their resonance fluorescence.
