Observation of ozone concentration during the solar eclipse
S. Chudzyński,Adam Czyzewski,K. Ernst,Aleksander Pietruczuk,W. Skubiszak,Tadeusz Stacewicz,K. Stelmaszczyk,Alojzy Szymański,Izabela Sówka,A. Zwoździak,Jerzy Zwoździak +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the results of measurements of ozone concentrations during the solar eclipse of 11 August 1999 were reported and compared with results obtained by several monitoring stations measuring with other methods, in almost all cases, a drop in the ozone concentration was observed during the eclipse.
Journal ArticleDOI
EARLINET evaluation of the CATS Level 2 aerosol backscatter coefficient product
Emmanouil Proestakis,Vassilis Amiridis,Eleni Marinou,Ioannis Binietoglou,Albert Ansmann,Ulla Wandinger,Julian Hofer,John E. Yorks,Edward Nowottnick,Abduvosit N. Makhmudov,Alexandros Papayannis,Aleksander Pietruczuk,Anna Gialitaki,Arnoud Apituley,Artur Szkop,Constantino Muñoz Porcar,Daniele Bortoli,Davide Dionisi,Dietrich Althausen,Dimitra Mamali,Dimitris Balis,Doina Nicolae,Eleni Tetoni,G. Abdullaev,Gelsomina Pappalardo +39 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present the evaluation activity of the European Aerospace Research Lidar Network (EARLINET) for the quantitative assessment of the Level 2 aerosol backscatter coefficient product derived by the Cloud-Aerosol Transport System (CATS) aboard the International Space Station (ISS), for the period from February-2015 to September-2016.
Journal ArticleDOI
Remote sensing measurements of the volcanic ash plume over Poland in April 2010
Krzysztof M. Markowicz,Tymon Zielinski,Aleksander Pietruczuk,Michał Posyniak,Olga Zawadzka,Przemysław Makuch,Iwona S. Stachlewska,A. K. Jagodnicka,Tomasz Petelski,Wojciech Kumala,Piotr Sobolewski,Tadeusz Stacewicz +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors provided information on selected optical parameters related to volcanic ash produced during the eruption of the Eyjafjoll volcano in Iceland in 2010 and observed the largest ash plume (in terms of aerosol optical thickness) over Poland.
Journal ArticleDOI
Studies of electron energy distribution in plasma produced by a resonant laser pulse
TL;DR: In this paper, a method of retrieving the electron energy distribution from the probe characteristics at high gas pressures, when the free path of the electrons is less than the probe radius, i.e. in the range of 2-100 Torr, was proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Variability of aerosol properties during the 2007–2010 spring seasons over central Europe
TL;DR: In this paper, LiDAR and sun-photometer measurements of aerosol optical properties were taken by collocated lidar and sunphotometers at Belsk, Poland, and Minsk, Belarus.
