Beam-target double-spin asymmetry in quasielastic electron scattering off the deuteron with CLAS

Martin K. Mayer, +141 more
- 24 Feb 2017 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the beam-target double-spin asymmetry (A(parallel to)) for quasielastic electron scattering off the deuteron at several beam energies (1.6-1.7, 2.5, 4.2, and 5.8 GeV), was measured as a function of photon virtuality Q(2) (0.13-3.5 GeV/c), and the angle between the (inferred) spectator neutron and the momentum transfer direction (theta(nq)).
Journal ArticleDOI

Ξ* photoproduction from threshold to W=3.3 GeV

J. T. Goetz, +119 more
- 27 Dec 2018 -
TL;DR: The doubly strange Xi baryons provide an effective way to study a puzzle called the missing-baryons problem where both quark models and lattice guage theory predict more baryon excited states than are seen experimentally as discussed by the authors.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Quadrotor UAV 3D Path Planning with Optical-Flow-based Obstacle Avoidance

TL;DR: In this paper, a real-time waypoint-based 3D local path planning algorithm is proposed for obstacle avoidance using the optical flow obtained by a frontal monocular camera mounted on a quadrotor UAV.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

A mathematical framework for modeling propagation of infectious diseases with mobile individuals

TL;DR: It is shown that the infectious spread occurring between individuals that are capable of moving along a (possibly stochastic) digraph can be modeled through a (generally larger, yet sparser) stoChastic digraph.

Method of communicating by means of chaotic signals

TL;DR: In this article, a chaotic-signal generator comprises a set of elements (1 to 4) for generating signals, which are connected together according to a scheme of chaotic dynamics of signal generation.
