Stewart,Kate Tilling,Ian R. White,Penny Whiting,Penny Whiting,Julian P T Higgins,Julian P T Higgins +33 more
TL;DR: The Cochrane risk-of-bias tool has been updated to respond to developments in understanding how bias arises in randomised trials, and to address user feedback on and limitations of the original tool.

Journal ArticleDOI
The effects of changes to the built environment on the mental health and well-being of adults: Systematic review.
Theresa Hm Moore,Theresa Hm Moore,Joanna M Kesten,José A López-López,Sharea Ijaz,Alexandra McAleenan,Alison Richards,Selena Gray,Jelena Savović,Suzanne Audrey +9 more
TL;DR: Overall, evidence for the impact of built environment interventions on mental health and quality‐of‐life is weak and future research requires more robust study designs and interdisciplinary research involving public health, planning and urban design experts.
Journal ArticleDOI
Screening strategies for atrial fibrillation: a systematic review and cost-effectiveness analysis.
Nicky J Welton,Alexandra McAleenan,Howard Thom,Philippa Davies,William Hollingworth,Julian P T Higgins,G N Okoli,Jonathan A C Sterne,Gene Feder,Diane Eaton,Aroon D. Hingorani,Christopher G. Fawsitt,Trudie Lobban,Peter Bryden,Alison Richards,Reecha Sofat +15 more
TL;DR: A systematic review of the diagnostic test accuracy (DTA) of screening tests for AF and an economic model to compare the cost-effectiveness of different screening strategies were developed, found systematic opportunistic screening was more likely to be cost-effective than systematic population screening.
Journal ArticleDOI
Treatment interventions to maintain abstinence from alcohol in primary care: systematic review and network meta-analysis
Hung-Yuan Cheng,Luke A McGuinness,Roy G Elbers,Georgina J MacArthur,Abigail Taylor,Alexandra McAleenan,Sarah Dawson,José A López-López,José A López-López,Julian P T Higgins,Julian P T Higgins,Julian P T Higgins,Sean Cowlishaw,Sean Cowlishaw,Anne Lingford-Hughes,Matthew Hickman,Matthew Hickman,Matthew Hickman,David Kessler,David Kessler,David Kessler +20 more
TL;DR: Evidence is lacking for benefit from interventions that could be implemented in primary care settings for alcohol abstinence, other than for acamprosate, the only intervention associated with increased probability of abstinence and moderate certainty evidence.
