Journal ArticleDOI
Left ventricular size, mass and function in relation to angiotensin-converting enzyme gene and angiotensin-II type 1 receptor gene polymorphisms in patients with coronary artery disease.
Marcin Gruchała,Dariusz Ciećwierz,Karolina Ochman,Bartosz Wasag,Andrzej Koprowski,Andrzej Wojtowicz,Witold Dubaniewicz,Radosław Targoński,Wojciech Sobiczewski,Adam Grzybowski,Piotr Romanowski,Janusz Limon,Andrzej Rynkiewicz +12 more
TL;DR: This study does not support the role of the ACE I/D and AT1R A1166C polymorphisms in the determination of the left ventricular size and performance in patients with significant coronary atherosclerosis, but indicates that the influence of polymorphisms may be present in specific patient populations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dipeptidyl peptidase‐4 inhibitors, glucagon‐like peptide 1 receptor agonists and sodium‐glucose co‐transporter‐2 inhibitors for people with cardiovascular disease: a network meta‐analysis
Takayoshi Kanie,Atsushi Mizuno,Yoshimitsu Takaoka,Takahiro Suzuki,Daisuke Yoneoka,Yuri Nishikawa,Yuri Nishikawa,Wilson W.S. Tam,Jakub Morze,Andrzej Rynkiewicz,Yiqiao Xin,Olivia Wu,Rui Providência,Joey Sw Kwong +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, a systematic review of available evidence on the benefits and harms of DPP4i, GLP-1RA, and SGLT2i in people with established CVD, using network meta-analysis is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prognostic significance of red cell distribution width and its relation to increased pulmonary pressure and inflammation in acute heart failure.
Ryszard Targoński,Janusz Sadowski,Magdalena Starek-Stelmaszczyk,Radosław Targoński,Andrzej Rynkiewicz +4 more
TL;DR: The present data demonstrates a novel relation between higher levels of RDW and elevated TRPG and hsCRP values in patients with AHF, suggesting that RDW, the most important mortality predictor, is independently associated with elevated pulmonary pressure and systemic inflammation in patientswith AHF.
Journal ArticleDOI
ScreenPro FH - Screening Project for Familial Hypercholesterolemia in Central, Southern and Eastern Europe: Basic Epidemiology.
Richard Ceska,Tomáš Freiberger,Andrey V. Susekov,György Paragh,Željko Reiner,Lale Tokgozoglu,Katarina Raslova,Maciej Banach,Branislav Vohnout,Andrzej Rynkiewicz,Assen Goudev,Dan Gheorghe-Andrei,Dan Gaiţă,Belma Pojskic,Ivan Pećin,Meral Kayıkçıoğlu,Olena Mitchenko,Marat V. TL;DR: The authors' data point to the large population of heterozygous FH patients in the CESE region but low diagnostic rate, however structures through the ScreenPro FH project are being created and it is hoped that the results will appear soon.
