Journal ArticleDOI

Targeting pancreatic islet PTP1B improves islet graft revascularization and transplant outcomes

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that grafts of pancreatic islets lacking PTP1B exhibit increased revascularization, which is accompanied by improved graft survival and function, and recovery of normoglycemia and glucose tolerance in diabetic mice transplanted with PTP 1B-deficient islets.
Journal ArticleDOI

Towards an artificial pancreas at home

TL;DR: The most recent models using subcutaneous insulin infusion and glucose measurements linked by predictive control algorithms offer sufficient effectiveness and safety to consider their forthcoming use at home, during the night as a first step.
Journal ArticleDOI

Immunomodulation by blockade of the TRANCE co-stimulatory pathway in murine allogeneic islet transplantation.

TL;DR: TRANCE‐targeting may be an effective strategy for the prolongation of allogeneic islet graft survival, thanks to its inhibitory effects on co‐stimulatory signals and macrophage recruitment.
