Journal ArticleDOI

Isovector Effects in Neutron Stars, Radii and the GW170817 Constraint

TL;DR: In this paper, an isovector-scalar meson is incorporated self-consistently into the quark-meson coupling description of nuclear matter and its most prominent effects on the structure of neutron stars are investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

An internal superconducting “holding-coil” for frozen spin targets

TL;DR: In this article, a superconducting holding magnet, placed inside a polarizing refrigerator, has been developed for the measurement of the Gerasimov-Drell-Hearn sum rule with polarized real photons at the Mainz microtron MAMI and the Bonn electron stretcher accelerator ELSA.
Journal ArticleDOI

A study of quark-parton distributions in a simple quark model

TL;DR: This article examined the quark-parton momentum distributions calculated from a simple quark model using two recently proposed methods and found that the distributions predicted at large values of Bjorken x are especially sensitive to the approximation made.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of flavor asymmetry for $\Sigma^{\pm}$ by the Drell-Yan process

TL;DR: In this paper, Drell-Yan experiments using charged hyperon beams on proton and deuteron targets were used to obtain the taste asymmetries for the valence and sea quarks.
