TL;DR: In this paper, a unified formalism is presented for the betatron radiation of trapped and accelerated electrons in the so-called bubble regime, the synchrotron radiation of laser-accelerated electrons in usual meter-scale undulators, the nonlinear Thomson scattering from relativistic electrons oscillating in an intense laser field, and the Thomson backscattered radiation of a laser beam by laser accelerated electrons.

TL;DR: The Vlasov–Maxwell system describing the self-consistent evolution of a collisionless plasma is solved using the Particle-In-Cell (PIC) method, and a hybrid MPI-OpenMP strategy, based on a patch-based super-decomposition, allows for efficient cache-use, dynamic load balancing and high-performance on massively parallel super-computers.

TL;DR: In this article, the Apollon-10P laser has been used to deliver two beams at the 1 and 10P levels, in ultra-short ( > 15 fs ) pulses, to a target area dedicated to electron acceleration studies, such as the exploration of the nonlinear regimes predicted theoretically, or multi-stage laser plasma acceleration.
