Cobalt 1,3-Diisopropyl-1H-imidazol-2-ylidene Complexes: Synthesis, Solid-State Structures, and Quantum Chemistry Calculations
Carmen L. Vélez,Phineus R. L. Markwick,Phineus R. L. Markwick,Ryan L. Holland,Antonio G. DiPasquale,Arnold L. Rheingold,Joseph M. O'Connor +6 more
TL;DR: The reaction of (η5-C5H5)Co(PPh3)2 (1) with 1,3-bis(isopropyl)imidazol-2-ylidene (ImiPr2, 17) leads to the formation of (5) in 69% yield, and the barrier to rotation about the Co−Ccarbene bond in 6 has been determined by variable-temperature 1H NMR spectroscopy and computation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Half-open-titanocene chemistry : coupling reactions of pentadienyl ligands with carbon-nitrogen and carbon-oxygen multiple bonds
Journal ArticleDOI
Transition-metal chemistry of hexafluorobutadiene. Facile hydrolysis of (hexafluoro-1-metalla-3-cyclopentene)rhodium complexes to give tetrafluoro-1-metalla-3-cyclopenten-2-one and tetrafluoro-1-metalla-2-cyclopenten-4-one complexes. Crystal and molecular structures of trans-[cyclo][(RhCF2CF:CFCO)Cl(PPh3)2], mer-[cyclo][(RhCF2CF:CFCF2)Cl(PMe3)3], and mer-[cyclo][(RhCF:CFCOCF2)Cl(PMe3)3]
Journal ArticleDOI
Re–H⋯H–N interactions in the second-coordination sphere of crystalline [Re(PPh3)2(imidazole)]
TL;DR: In this article, the generality of intermolecular N−H⋯H-Re hydrogen bonding is demonstrated in the crystal structure of the title complex, in which an imidazole of crystallization is involved in a three-centre hydrogen bond with an ReH2 group.
